O.M.G! what a handsome fellow!……and with a remarkable amount of his original
paint still beautifully intact. Given that we estimate him to be around 150+ years
old he is in astoundingly good shape. He has had minimal restoration to the
bodywork, concentrating on stabilising the original gesso and paintwork. The
only real casualty over the years has been to his bow so an accurate replica has
been made and distressed to compliment his condition.
He sports a handmade double rein bit as was the custom back in the day along
with a side-saddle pommel. The tack has been replicated to known patterns seen
on antique horses of the period. A rare opportunity to own something unique
and beautiful.
